Dimensions
6½" dia. x 10"H
Comes with 32 oz. lamp oil; replacements sold separately
Instructions for Use:
1.) Fill the ceramic jar with the included lamp oil. Let the firestone soak for at least 30 minutes.
2.) Remove the soaked firestone, and roll it lightly in fireplace ash. Use a match or lighter to ignite the firestone. The magic is in the ashes, as they act as a "wick" for the flame.
3.) Place the firestone under your grate filled with firewood (optimal grate height is approx. 2½"H). Firestone will burn for approx. 15-20 minutes; allow it to burn out completely in the fireplace (or fire pit, grill, etc.).
4.) Once the firestone is cold, carefully return it to the ceramic jar so it's ready for next time.
More Info:
DO NOT put the firestone in the oil when it is hot. The oil will smoke and evaporate, and could possibly ignite.
DO NOT use with other kerosene or other oils that will smell, smoke and can be dangerous. Use only with pure liquid parafin for best results.
DO NOT wash the firestone; do not get the firestone wet with water. The water will soak into the stone, and make it difficult to light. If the firestone does get wet, let it completely dry out.
